• Reply: •

Notes: • Notes: • He is head of Europe of Volt - knows Nicole Büttner • He did a few discussion for AI in accounting and finance • Accounting is the base for everything -> old school technology - barely automation • Internalisation is not super easy because accountants are not very tech savvy • Viu: • They did not find good accountants • Elian Kool makes the same thing -> he talks a lot with Elian • Treuhänder und Buchhalter obsolet machen • Complex topics are Steuerberater-Themen • Switzerland there is already QR invoice - in Germany the e invoice will come in 2027 • Katharina Schneider (START Accelerator) -> check it out • Paul Co-Founder von Doodle • He knows someone who does CF and liquidity management -> for that you need the accounting data • PO is super important • Revenue and Cash Flow recognition work very well • One customer does MSFT Dynamics integration • • Automation: • • Biggest objections / challenges in his daily life? • • Most valuable flows for him? • • Context: team setup? internal and external? • • Which tasks are the biggest pain? With magic wand -> what would he solve? • A lot of effort: financial planning -> budget fällt raus • He does that a lot • Accounting has to be much more automated -> a lot of stupid work there -> he saw crazy mistakes -> major impact • A lot order is outstanding / invoice missing -> big CF problem • Example: big Umbauprojekt -> at the end 25% more expensive -> insolvent -> predictive estimations -> they had a project plan -> that should be checked • E.g. scrape all emails etc. • Kontera • CF analyse challenge • Get the information in the first place • You have to analyse POs / Offerten • Zahlungen stunden (zb Sozialversicherungszahlungen) -> important topic • Plausibility checks -> is the insurance, etc. in the range we expect • % of projects -> because it is binary in the end -> either yes or no • Eventualverbindlichkeiten • Example: large machine selling -> Sales Pipeline was always full -> they weighted the pipeline -> a lot of the funnel did not convert in the end -> challenge estimations (e.g. forecast Sales) • Revenue prediction is by far the biggest factor for startups • Costs as well but the delta is much smaller • A lot of startups make mistakes -> what comes on the balance sheet / balance sheet items -> negative cash cycles between Receivables and Payables -> money comes later in than out • Startups make the mistake to budget salaries too low • People leave the company • Double salary for converstion period • Sick leave • Recruiter costs • etc. sanity checks • So far has not seen a useful AI features • Maybe invoice digitalisation tool • Business intelligence is important • Connect the data across systems -> data that accounting does not have • CAC • CLTV • Inventory term -> how to optimise it • They spent a lot of time optimising their inventory • There should be a lot of good tools • • Which tasks would he focus on? • • Do they already have automations? Which ones? How well do they work? • • Which companies would he target? • • General feedback to pitch? •
