Niclas Liebenow (11.11.2025) Context: • https://www.linkedin.com/in/niclas-liebenow/ • Head of Finance at bling.de (43ppl on LinkedIn) • Berlin • Per Du • My message: • Ich habe Ihr Profil gefunden, da ich bling schon länger kenne und verfolge - seit der grossen Series A Runde.
Notes: • Notes: • • Automation: • A lot of companies have some AI implemented - e.g. Moss (employee CC) • Belegmapping for CC payments; • Pay with Moss • AI: Belegbilderkennung, Kostenstelle -> Vorkoniterung (Steuersätze, Suppliernumber), Budget • OCR & Suggestions works extremely well • CF: nothing - only financial model (Excel) • Asset light model -> keine heftigen Schwankungen in der Bilanz • Not a big gap between Bilanz und P&L • There are two Anfragen für AI in Finance • Check out https://www.arc-intelligence.de/about • They want to do budgeting -> very complex -> understand how does company get revenue • You have to predict Verhalten von Usern -> difficult to do in software • A lot of assumptions -> highly complex model • Mitarbeiterplanung - when increase of salary: standard vs. exponential vs. bonus • Downside of Excel -> fehleranfällig • Can we build a QA / error check agent • Purchasing vs. Monthly closing / FP&A • No real opinion • CC companies: often Belegmatching is also included • Killer company: if Moss would go faster into automation -> that would be great to automate further • Replaced Candis & Playent with Moss • He is a cool guy • Data model • How many Revenue per Sales manager -> difficult to assign revenue to Sales manager • Aufbereitung der Daten is tricky • CRM data -> for Sales • A lot of hygiene data -> they have • Datev has already a data model - but accounting model • Abgrenzung is very important • Investor data and compare with Stripe/Chargebee to do reporting • They show MRR on top • They get data from Accounting and map it to P&L • Costs: not a lot of Abgrenzung • They have to do Abgrenzung monatlich & then yearly • Got too big for Excel to load • Now they use Pathway Solutions • He will become a Fractional CFO in 2026 (already quit his job) • Biggest objections / challenges in his daily life? • • Most valuable flows for him? • • Context: team setup? internal and external? • • Which tasks are the biggest pain? With magic wand -> what would he solve? • He has a team -> Finance manager that does AP; he also has a work student • Preaccounting should be delegated -> Belege matching und matchen -> a lot of time is still invested • They have a lot of Belege • Anomalies erkennen -> Rückfragen • They have budget responsible people (e.g. Brandbudget, etc.) • A lot of discussion • Also Vorkontieren & crosschecken • • Which tasks would he focus on? • • Do they already have automations? Which ones? How well do they work? • • Which companies would he target? • • General feedback to pitch? •
