Make Waves Conference • New agent feature -> looked strong in the demo -> Claude Code for make • It is thinking, shows the tools etc. • Still a bit complex - not simple enough to someone who does not have background • New enterprise features: better logs and observability, better access rights
Hackathon • 5 ppl with make.com experience • 2 to 3 others who were also good • Rest could not use it • Problem was not that make was too complex but transform problem into a certain solution • Example: read a report and send it -> realisation what steps they need is a challenge -> make agent is helpful when it works in problems and can transfer them to solution steps • Example: One case where WeCap API was not well documented -> blocked the whole automation • Nobody understood that the use case was blocked • Example: Marketing: how many prospects are in a certain area • They wanted to get address from Google Maps link -> Google maps API does not support random Google Maps links -> get to the actual entry • People make the hypothesis that if one tool is useful, one can do everything -> no understanding that API is different • When manual step is fast -> also fast for automation • They use https://axiom.ai/ for RPA for browser -> recommended by their automation agency • No make.com integration • Quite basic -> ones a workflow is built -> there is no way to check whether it is correct -> video would be good to understand the process • Some ideas were very complex -> people do not have a feeling what is possible • Some things could be better solved in other ways -> eg directly Hubspot • Best projects: • Which reference customers do we have close to a new spot • Get data out of a CRM to visualise in a dashboard
Notes: • Their gap is: very simple automation tool that everyone can use - certain guardrails • As soon as they need Florian to maintain it -> it is better for him to build and maintain it in the first place
