Initial feedback: • His questions: • Difference to make.com? • Sofico (Orchestra) -> Service Bus for manufacturing -> interprets any data and orchestrates data (10+ years) • Integrations • Produktion: Siemens Steuerung, Another one, another one -> standardised between systems -> takes text file from one machine • Integrates with ERP systems • Standardisation • Buffered data (network problem e.g.) • Really nice videos • Different channels: text files, REST -> most of the time via REST API (OPCUA also supported -> a few protocols) • Industrie Informatik • Developed MES -> steuern Produktion in real time • Automatisierungspyramide -> check on Google • The last few years everything was done by Service Bus (Lobster) • Very rarely a problem to get data out of systems • Biggest challenges: • Machines are from different manufacturers -> to get the data out of it -> license costs -> even there you get data from; there are EDEN modules • Main challenges: • Onboard workers on new software (political games) - people do not understand the ROI behind a solution -> very important to communicate the use of a software to all people who use it • Technical: Verfügbarkeit -> Backup • Integration from bottom to top -> goes via multiple firewalls along Pyramide -> performance issue in Produktion -> millisecond area is important - especially when automated • AI in manufacturing: • Agents in production is so individual / complex -> difficult that agent can solve problems - not even factories in the same company are very different • Finance & banking -> a lot of individualisation • Processes are often not documented • No process documentation at all during projects • ESB -> Enterprise Service Bus -> these are a bit slower -> time is not super important • In production milliseconds is important
